About Sandals

Racing History Outside, Resort Living Inside

Braselton sits at an interesting intersection, a small-town community carrying a global identity thanks to Road Atlanta’s 50-plus years of motorsports history just north of town. Homeowners in this corridor have invested in properties that reflect that same high-performance spirit. Sandals Luxury Pools brings that same commitment to precision to every custom in-ground pool we design and build, whether the homesite sits along the rolling terrain near Chateau Elan, off the Lewis Braselton Blvd corridor, or in one of the surrounding communities including Hoschton, Auburn, or Dacula. Every build is fully custom, any shape, any size.

Your Dream Pool Awaits

Gunite Construction Sized for North Georgia Terrain

Braselton’s rolling hills and clay-heavy soils present real engineering considerations that a generic pool company will overlook. Sandals uses gunite pool construction, the industry’s most durable shell method, specifically because it flexes around grade changes and irregular lot shapes without compromising structural integrity. Our six-step build process, moving from excavation through shotcrete, tile and stone setting, deck and pebble finishing, fill and startup, and final clean-up, is designed to handle the varied lot profiles common across the Road Atlanta area and the broader Barrow, Gwinnett, Hall, and Jackson county footprint we serve.

Pool Design Built Around Your Specific Property

No two backyards along the Braselton corridor are identical. Some clients have flat, open lots with room for a sprawling lagoon or an infinity-edge pool. Others are working with tighter footprints, mature tree lines, or sloped grades common on older homesites near the Chateau Elan resort area. Sandals’ collaborative design process starts with a real site conversation, not a catalog. You are involved from the first sketch through material selection, so the finished pool fits your property, your lifestyle, and your aesthetic, rather than a floor plan pulled from a template. Water Features and Spas That Make the Yard Work

A pool alone covers only part of what a well-designed outdoor space can do for a Braselton home. Sandals layers in spillover spas, natural waterfalls, sheer descents, deck jets, bubblers, waterslides, and fire-and-water bowls, all designed as part of a unified outdoor composition rather than bolt-on additions. With Braselton recording 214 days of warm sunshine annually and humid subtropical summers pushing into the upper 80s, the outdoor season here runs long. A well-appointed spa and water feature setup means the yard stays inviting from late spring well into fall, making every square foot earn its place.

Spillover Spa

Spa's are great for year round enjoyment, and you can add them to old pools and design in with your new build.

Outdoor Fireplace

Hang out with friends and family around the fireplace, and enjoy cold nights watching a game or just avoiding crowds.

Waterfalls

It's hard to beat the sound of a waterfall in your beautiful swimming pool. Talk about relaxing, and it'll put you to sleep!
How We Work

Our Pool Installation Process

Our extensive pool installation process ensures that you save time, money, and the headache of hiring multiple contractors. This approach works well, regardless of the project size. Take a look at the process!

Form / Excavate

Our experts form the pool according to the design and excavate inside the forms to create the hole for the swimming pool.

Shotcrete

Shotcrete is sprayed into the forms after the excavation, plumbing, and steel have been installed.

Tile / Stone

Once the shotcrete has cured, our team will install the tile, and then the stone masons will follow with the stone coping.

Deck / Pebble

Now that the stone is down, our team will form and pour the decking. This is followed by the pebble installation.

Fill / Startup

After the exposed aggregate has been installed, we will fill the swimming pool with water and add start-up chemicals.

Clean-up

With the swimming pool full, our team will go to work installing the spray deck and final clean-up.

Hardscapes That Anchor the Full Outdoor Picture

A pool set in bare concrete is a missed opportunity on any property near Road Atlanta. Sandals builds complete outdoor environments, adding outdoor kitchens, outdoor fireplaces, fire pits, custom patios, retaining walls, and architectural accents that tie the pool into the broader yard. Because we handle every element under one contract, the stonework, deck materials, and structural lines read as one cohesive design rather than piecemeal additions from different crews. Neighbors in Hoschton and nearby communities like Hoschton and Dacula benefit from this same single-contractor model.

Pool Care, Repair, and Seasonal Service After the Build

A finished pool requires consistent attention to perform well through Braselton’s long swim season. Sandals Luxury Pools offers pool maintenance, pool cleaning, pool repair, pool inspections, and both seasonal opening and closing services. Clients who purchased a resale home near the Road Atlanta corridor and inherited an aging or neglected pool can schedule an inspection first, then get a clear recommendation on repair versus renovation, without any pressure to rebuild what does not need replacing. The goal is honest assessment backed by more than a decade of North Georgia pool experience.

What Our Clients Say

Frequently Asked Questions

Braselton is unique in that it spans Barrow, Gwinnett, Hall, and Jackson counties, so the applicable permitting authority depends on exactly which county parcel your home sits within. Sandals identifies the correct jurisdiction at the start of every project and coordinates the permit pull accordingly. Multi-county permit questions are a routine part of working in this area, not a surprise complication.

Absolutely. Braselton’s rolling terrain means grade changes are common, particularly on lots backing to wooded areas or near the ridgelines around the Chateau Elan resort corridor. Gunite construction is well suited to sloped sites because the shell can be shaped and engineered specifically for the grade profile. Retaining walls and custom decking solve transitions that a prefabricated pool could never accommodate.

With humid subtropical summers topping 88°F and 214 days of warm sunshine per year, Braselton’s swim season can realistically stretch from late April through October. A pool heater extends that window further into cooler months. That extended season also makes automation and energy-efficient pump systems practical investments rather than luxury add-ons, since the equipment runs far more months per year than in northern climates.

Yes, and these are among the most requested upgrades in the Braselton area. Pool lighting and pool automation systems are built into new pool projects or retrofitted to existing pools. Automation allows water temperature, lighting scenes, water features, and sanitization schedules to be controlled from a phone, which is practical for homeowners who entertain frequently and want the pool ready before guests arrive.

Braselton’s roughly 52 inches of annual rainfall can dilute pool chemistry more frequently than in drier climates, and a saltwater system handles that variability well. Saltwater generators maintain more consistent chlorine levels through electrolysis, reducing the manual adjustment burden after heavy rainfall events. Combined with automation, it is a low-maintenance approach well matched to North Georgia’s rainfall patterns and long swim season.

A pool inspection is the correct first step. Sandals assesses the shell, coping, plumbing, filtration equipment, and finishes and gives a written breakdown of what requires immediate repair versus what can wait. From there, the conversation shifts to whether targeted pool renovation or a full resurfacing makes the most financial sense for your specific situation.

In many cases, yes. Adding a spillover spa to an existing pool depends on the deck footprint, proximity to the existing shell, and plumbing access. Sandals evaluates retrofit feasibility during a site visit rather than giving a blanket answer over the phone. Some existing decks can be modified without a full rebuild; others require more significant reconfiguration. The assessment clarifies cost and scope before any commitment is made.

Natural travertine, bluestone, and brushed concrete coping all complement the stone and brick architectural palette common near the Chateau Elan resort corridor. For interior finishes, pebble and quartz plaster surfaces hold color well through Braselton’s long season. Sandals walks clients through material samples in context, because the right combination depends on the home’s exterior tones, not just catalog availability.

Sandals partners with Lyon Financial to offer pool-specific financing for qualifying clients. Coverage typically extends to the full scope of the project, including the pool shell, spa, water features, and hardscapes, rather than pool equipment alone. Applications are handled through the Lyon Financial portal linked from Sandals’ website. Lyon Financial specializes in outdoor-living and pool projects, so approval timelines and loan structures are specifically built for this type of build rather than adapted from a generic home improvement loan.

For homeowners in the Braselton area who already entertain outdoors, combining an outdoor kitchen with a new pool build under a single contract is almost always more cost-efficient than adding it separately later. Shared excavation, plumbing, and electrical runs reduce total cost, and the design integrates as a single composition rather than an afterthought. Braselton’s long outdoor season means the kitchen gets genuine year-round use, which shortens the payback window considerably.
